For Graduate Brothers

For Collegiate Brothers

Mentor / Mentee Program

The Houston Graduate chapter will work closely with the Graduate relations chair of the Houston Collegiate Chapters to match pharmacy students with graduate members based on the mentee's interest in pharmacy specialty (retail, independent ownership, clinical, consulting, etc...).

The Houston graduate chapter will plan events in advance so that the mentors can meet with the mentees in a central location. Once we have made the assignments, it is the mentee's responsibility to reach out to the mentor for additional guidance if needed. Guidance can be anything from reviewing CV/Resume, step by step processes for jobs/residency, or information about jobs in pharmacy.

Mentor / Preceptor at a Health Fair or Event

For those who are interested in serving as a preceptor for collegiate events like Health Fairs, drug take-back, or brown bag events. The graduate chapter will email you within 2 WEEKS of each event with the information listed below:

  • Date & Time of the Event

  • Location

  • Type of Event (ie. brown bag, drug takeback, etc...)

  • Collegiate Contact person (email & Phone #)

The students who are seeking preceptors have been asked to give a 2 weeks advanced notice to the graduate chapter.

***Please be advised that you are NOT obligated to attend every event, but we ask you to allow enough time for us to find a new preceptor if you are unable to make it once you booked to attend.***

Conduct a seminar and workshop

For Graduates that wish to share an interesting topic with their fellow brothers, then the Workshop is your type of mentoring. Many people have attended a CV/Interview workshop or leadership series while being a student. You will have the opportunity to conduct your own workshop for graduate and collegiate brothers. The Grad Chapter will coordinate with both collegiate chapters on a date that is good for the Mentor and UH/TSU.

Looking for a Mentor or Preceptor?

The Houston Grad Chapter is more than happy to help precept health fairs and other student events requiring a preceptor! Please fill out the form in it's entirety so that we can provide the preceptors with sufficient time and information. These forms need to be submitted no later than 2 weeks in advance of the event date. The Houston Graduate chapter cannot guarantee a preceptor for every request. If no preceptor is available, we will tell you in advance to start asking elsewhere.

If you are interested in mentorship from a graduate brother, please fill out the form below. We will match you up with an alumnus based on your interest in specific pharmacy fields (retail, clinical, etc)
